A food log can feel personal, so here is exactly what happens between taking a photo and it appearing as an entry in your diary, without the legal document format.
2. AI analyses it
The AI identifies foods and estimates portions from a meal photo, or reads the printed values from a label photo.
3. The result is shown to you
Calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat appear on a review screen, with a confidence indicator for photo-based estimates.
4. You confirm it
Nothing is saved automatically. You review the result, edit anything that looks off, and confirm before it reaches your diary.
5. The photo is discarded
Once the AI has done its job, the photo itself is discarded. It is not stored in your account and is not kept on SnapKai's servers.
6. Only confirmed food data remains
What stays is the structured food log entry you confirmed: the food name, portion, and its calories and macros, not the image that produced it.
Not used to train AI without opt-in
Your meal photos and confirmed food data are not used to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in. SnapKai treats a food log as sensitive information: it is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to build an advertising profile.
